We offer several different replacement camshafts, and related accessories, for the 2.3 turbo engines. Most of these camshafts will also work well on a normally aspirated engine.
None of these cams idle with a lope or have bad low end manners. We've tried them all, and like them all. They work well installed straight up, possibly saving you the cost of an adjustable pulley. The quality is very high. All three use cam timing events very much like the stock 86 SVO, or XR 5 speed, cam. Just expect a nice running engine with good manners, and more power. These cams *are* a significant improvement over the best stock cams.

I've spent a lot of time and money on cam research. For that reason, I will not disclose any additional measurements regarding the cams listed here, so please don't ask.
After extensive testing, it is my belief that every 2.3 needs a bigger camshaft. It's just another one of the ways that Ford limited the power output of our engines. I would unhesitatingly recommend the Hot Street 2 cam for ANY 2.3 powered vehicle.

| I've quit selling the Engle TCS-55h camshaft, because the improvement was not that significant over the stock 5 speed XR cam/SVO cam. Dyno testing proved it to be about 5 hp. Not that it didn't perform well, but it was hardly worth the trouble, if you had one of the larger stock cams, already. |

Docile idle, and crisp response, but more power. I'd recommend this cam, over the HS 3, and you needn't be concerned about enough clearance. This cam is a terrific bolt-in for normally aspirated and turbocharged 2.3s. It is a significant improvement over the Engle 55, and now my personal favorite.

Cam ONLY. You must supply stock Ford roller followers, suitable valve springs, and an 89-94 Ranger Roller cam core for regrinding. I designed this cam in 1999, and have had it in my car ever since. I wil not run any other cam in my own cars.
